PARLIAMENT

Sri Lanka will be hosting the 3rd South Asia Parliamentarian Platform Meeting in partnership with UNICEF on 2nd and 3rd September’ 2019. The first day of the Programme on 2nd September will take place under the patronage of the Hon. Karu Jayasuriya, Speaker of Parliament of Sri Lanka, in Committee Room No. 1 of Parliament from 9.30 a.m. and second day's Programme from 3rd September morning will be held at the Hotel Hilton Colombo.

Marking the 30th anniversary of the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) and the 5th anniversary of the Parliamentary Caucus for Children in Sri Lanka, this year’s meeting will focus on highlighting the progress made for children in South Asia, the unfinished agenda for children in South Asia including the current situation and key challenges towards realization of the rights of all children.
