PARLIAMENT

The inaugural meeting of the Sri Lanka-Afghanistan Parliamentary Friendship Association was held on 21st March 2019 at Committee Room No. 1 of the Parliamentary Complex.

The Hon. Karu Jayasuriya, MP, Speaker of Parliament chaired the meeting and H. E. Mr. Mohammed Ashraf Haidari, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan to Sri Lanka was present on invitation as the Guest of Honour. The Hon. Sujeewa Senasinghe, MP, Non Cabinet Minister of Science, Technology & Research was appointed as the President of the Association and the Hon. Anura Priyadarshana Yapa, MP was appointed as the Secretary.
