The United National Party (UNP) obtained the most number of seats at the Parliamentary General Election 2015. Other parties to gain seats in Parliament are the United People’s Freedom Alliance (UPFA), Ilankai Tamil Arasu Kadchi (ITAK), People’s Liberation Front (JVP), Eelam People’s Democratic Party (EPDP) and the Sri Lanka Muslim Congress (SLMC). Given below is a table depicting the allocation of seats for each party.
