Endorsement of Certificate on Bills

The Speaker Hon. Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena informed the Parliament today (June 18) that in terms of the provisions of Article 79 of the Constitution of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, he has endorsed the certificates on the Bills titled “Saweera Foundation (Incorporation)” and “Kelaniya Buddhist Women’s Charitable Society (Incorporation)” on 12 June 2024.

Referral to Committee on Ethics and Privileges

The speaker also informed that the question of privilege raised by the Member of Parliament Hon. (Dr.) Harsha de Silva, in Parliament on 22 May 2024 will be referred to the Committee on Ethics and Privileges.
