Hon. Ajith Rajapakse, Deputy Speaker of Parliament announced to the House today (Mar. 21) that the Hon. Speaker endorsed the certificate on the Bills yesterday (20).

Accordingly, Social Security Contribution Levy (Amendment) Bill and Value Added Tax (Amendment) Bill received the assent of the Hon. Speaker.

Accordingly, the said Bills will come to effect as the Social Security Contribution Levy (Amendment) Act No. 15 of 2024 and Value Added Tax (Amendment) Act No. 16 of 2024 with effect from yesterday (20).
