Honourable President Ranil Wickremesinghe presided over the Ceremonial Sitting of Parliament for opening of the Fifth Session of the Ninth Parliament.
The Secretary-General of Parliament read out the Proclamation issued by Honourable President proroguing Parliament and Summoning the Meeting.
Honourable President addressed the Parliament.
The Parliament was, thereafter adjourned at 1114 Hrs. until 0930 Hrs. on Thursday 8th February 2024.
