Ministerial Statements
(i) Hon. (Dr.) Bandula Gunawardana, Minister of Transport and Highways made a Ministerial Statement regarding Importation of rail engines and compartments from India.
(ii) Hon. Shehan Semasinghe, State Minister of Finance, on behalf of the Minister of Finance, Economic Stabilization and National Policies replied to the Question raised by the Hon. Sajith Premadasa under the Standing Order 27(2) of the Parliament on 15.11.2023 regarding Restructuring of Sri Lanka Insurance Corporation, Sri Lanka Telecom and Litro Gas Lanka Ltd.
Privilege
(i) The Privilege motion that the question of privilege arising out of the matter raised by the Hon. Anuradha Jayaratne, M.P. and twenty-three other Members of Parliament, by the letter dated on 13th November, 2023 in Parliament to the effect that their privileges have been infringed, moved by the Hon. Leader of the House of Parliament, was referred to the Committee on Ethics and Privileges as per the order given by the Hon. Speaker on 14th November, 2023 in Parliament and in terms of the provisions of Standing Order 118 of the Parliament.
(ii) The Privilege motion that the question of privilege arising out of the matter raised by the Hon. Lakshman Kiriella, M.P. and twenty-six other Members of Parliament, by the letter dated on 14th November, 2023 in Parliament to the effect that their privileges have been infringed, moved by the Hon. Chief Opposition Whip, was referred to the Committee on Ethics and Privileges as per the order given by the Hon. Speaker on 14th November, 2023 in Parliament and in terms of the provisions of Standing Order 118 of the Parliament.
(iii) The Privilege motion that the question of privilege arising out of the matter raised by the Mr. Hansa Abeyrathne, Assistant Secretary General, by the letter dated on 13th November, 2023 in Parliament to the effect that his privileges have been infringed, moved by the Hon. Leader of the House of Parliament, was referred to the Committee on Ethics and Privileges as per the order given by the Hon. Speaker on 14th November, 2023 in Parliament and in terms of the provisions of Standing Order 118 of the Parliament.
