House agreed to a Motion moved by the Leader of the House of Parliament that the under mentioned twenty-three (23) members do serve on the Committee of Selection in addition to Mr. Speaker who shall be its Chairman during the current Session, in terms of the motion agreed to by Parliament on 06.06.2008.

Main Business of the House for Today

The Bill entitled “Assistance and Protection to Victims of Crime and Witnesses”

was taken up for Second Reading and the debate was adjourned for 19th June 2008.

Adjournment Motion

Adjournment Motion on “Action not taken to implement the 17th Amendment to the Constitution” was moved by Hon. Joseph Michael Perera.

The Parliament was, thereafter adjourned at 1526 Hrs. until 0930 Hrs. on Thursday 19th June 2008.
