PARLIAMENT

Diplomats from the Russian Embassy lead by H. E. Yury B. Materiy, Ambassador for the Russian Federation in Sri Lanka visited the Parliament recently. The Ambassador has said that in 2020 January Russia will make available 50 scholarships for students who have passed AL’s. He further thanked the Sri Lanka government and the parliament for continued friendship extended to the Russia.

Mr. Aleksei Budanov, Deputy Head of Mission and Mrs. Anastasia V. Khokhlova, First Secretary for the Russian Federation in Sri Lanka & the Director of the Russian Cultural Centre also joined the tour and was warmly welcomed by the Speaker of Parliament Hon. Karu Jayasuriya.
