Ceremony to mark the handing over of the broadcasting quality camera system installed at the Committee on Public Enterprises (COPE) Committee Room No. 5 of the Parliamentary Complex for the proceedings of the COPE was held on Friday the 09th of August, 2019. The Hon. Karu Jayasuriya, the Speaker of Parliament, unveiled the system with the participation of Hon. J. M. Ananda Kumarasiri, the Deputy Speaker, Hon. Sunil Handunnetti, the Chairman of the COPE, members of the Committee on Public Enterprises and the Secretary General of Parliament. Now onwards COPE sessions will be opened to the media.
