Hon. T.K. Jayasundara,— To ask the Minister of Urban Development, Construction and Housing,— (1)

(a) Will he inform this House —

(i) of the estimated cost, the date of commencement of the project, the amount spent so far, the number of beneficiary families, the number of families that have been provided with water up to now, and the name of the contractor/contracting firm in relation to each community water project initiated in the Galle District from 2010 to 2024 in each Divisional Secretariat Division in Galle district, separately; 

(ii) of the projects that have not yet provided water facilities up to now out of the aforesaid water projects;

(iii) of the reasons for the failure of the particular projects;

(iv) of the names of the officials who were responsible for the procurement process of each of the aforesaid projects, separately; and

(v) if any acts of corruption and irregularities have occurred during the procurement process, whether action will be taken against the officers that are responsible for such acts?

(b) If not, why?
