Hon. (Mrs.) A.M.M.M. Rathwaththe,— To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Livestock, Land and Irrigation,— (1)

(a) Will he inform this House—

(i) whether he is aware that a land of 02 acres in extent which is located close to ‘Mansala’ and ‘Helabojun Hala’ in Dehiattakndiya town has been disposed to two individuals;

(ii) of the names of those individuals, the basis on which the land was disposed and the purpose of such transfer;

(iii) whether a land around 60 perches in extent located between the Police Station and the ‘Shalika Hall’ has been transferred;

(iv) if so, of the name of the person to whom it has been disposed and the purpose of such transfer;

(v) whether the land close to the Cultural Centre has been plotted out and disposed; and

(vi) if so, of name of the individual to whom that land has been disposed and of the basis on which it has been transferred?

(b) Will he also inform this House—

(i) of the steps that can be taken to utilize the lands referred to above for development activities in a context where the arrangements have been made by the Urban Development Authority to draft an Urban Development Plan for Dehiattakandiya;

(ii) whether it is possible to implement the said development activities because of the manner in which the said lands have been disposed of;

(iii) if not, whether it is possible to amend the transfer of lands mentioned above; and

(iv) whether the lands concerned can be reacquired?

(c) If not, why?
