Hon. (Mrs.) Rohini Kumari Wijerathna,— To ask the Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education,— (1)

(a) Will she inform this House —

(i) of the number of students currently studying at each of the faculties of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, separately;

(ii) whether she is aware that ragging is currently being carried out severely in the abovementioned university; and

(iii) if so, of the steps that will be taken to control this situation?

(b) If not, why?
