Hon. Hector Appuhamy,—To ask the Minister of Transport, Highways, Ports and Civil Aviation,— (1)

(a) Will he inform this House —

(i) whether locomotives, coaches and other equipment belonging to Sri Lanka Railways have been leased out for transporting limestone from Palaviya in Puttalam to the Aruwakkaru Limestone Quarry;

(ii) if so, of the name of the company to which abovementioned equipment have been leased out;

(iii) of the income that has been earned by Sri Lanka Railways by leasing out the said equipment from year 2015 up to now separately in respect of each year; and

(iv) whether action will be taken to review the abovementioned lease agreement in relation to the current requirements?

(b) If not, why?
