Hon. Ravi Karunanayake,—To ask the Minister of Transport, Highways, Ports and Civil Aviation,— (1)

(a) Will he inform this House, separately of the —

(i) number of ships arrived at each terminal owned by the Sri Lanka Ports Authority and private companies from 2015 to date;

(ii) number of containers handled by each of those terminals during the same period;

(iii) operational profit of each of those terminals for the same period;

(iv) income and profit earned by the Authority for the same period; and

(v) efficiency of the each of the terminals mentioned in the no. (i) above by means of number of containers handled per hour by each of those terminals?

(b)  Will he also inform this House, separately of the —

(i) total number of containers and General Cargo (in Tons) handled in Sri Lanka from 2020 to 2024;

(ii) projected number of containers and General Cargo (in Tons) to be handled over the next ten years; and

(iii) Sri Lanka’s world ranking in container handling over the past 5 years?

(c) If not, why?
