Hon. Ajith P. Perera,—To ask the Minister of Energy,— (1)

(a) Will he inform this House of the —

(i) date on which the construction of the "Thambapawani" Wind Power Station located in Mannar was commenced;

(ii) amounts of the local investments and the foreign investments used for the aforesaid construction, separately;

(iii) installed capacity of the said power station;

(iv) per unit cost of generating electricity by the said power station; and

(v) amount of energy added to the national grid by the said power station in each year from 2021 to 2024, separately?

(b) Will he also inform this House of the —

(i) steps that have been taken to prevent the harm caused to migratory birds due to the said power station; and

(ii) effectiveness of those steps?

(c) Will he further inform this House —

(i) whether there is potential to construct more wind power stations on the Mannar Island; and

(ii) if so, of the capacity of those wind power stations?

(d) If not, why?
