Due to the internet and related social network activities, social changes are taking place and such changes are mostly negative and harmful rather than positive ones said Mr. Dharmananda Wijesinghe, executive member of the Sri Lanka Arts Council, at the Sectoral Oversight Committee on Media, Youth, Heritage and New Citizen.

The youth representatives who participated in the sectoral Oversight committee on Media, Youth, Heritage and New Citizen said that the implementation of leadership training programs for all young people should be considered as an important step.
