PARLIAMENT

The meetings of the Committee on Public Enterprises (COPE) and the Committee on Public Accounts (COPA) scheduled for the coming week have been postponed indefinitely.

The COPE Chairman and parliamentarian Hon. Prof. Charitha Herath and the COPA Chairman and Parliamentarian Hon. Prof. Tissa Vitarana arrived at this decision based on the health guidelines pertaining to maintaining social distancing and minimizing public gatherings as a result of the prevailing COVID-19 situation within the country.

Accordingly, the COPE and COPA meetings scheduled to be held from the 20th to the 23rd of October have been cancelled.
