PARLIAMENT

His Excellency the President addressed the Parliament, in terms of paragraph (4) of the Article 32 of the Constitution ending the state of Emergency.


Votes of Condolence on the following Ex-Members of Parliament were taken up and completed:-

(i) The Late Hon. Leslie Goonewardene
(ii) The Late Hon. Jayasena Rajakaruna
(iii) The Late Hon. Dhanapala Weerasekera
(iv) The late Hon. Augustheenu Fonseka


The Parliament was, thereafter adjourned at 1715 Hrs. until 1330 Hrs. on Friday 26th August 2011.
