Appropriation Bill (2011) – Committee Stage

Today is the Sixteenth Allotted Day of the Appropriation Bill (2011) - “Committee Stage Debate”.

The Appropriation Bill (Budget) 2011 was passed with amendments by the House today, with a majority of 116 votes.

The following Items (appearing as Item Nos. 2 and 3 of today’s Order Paper) were approved by the House:-

(i) Resolution under the Appropriation Act
(ii) Regulations under Import and Export (Control) Act

Second Reading of the following Bills (appearing as Item Nos. 11 to 13 of today’s Order Paper) were moved by the House and referred to the Standing Committee (Legislative) “B” :-

(i) Pina Organisation (Incorporation)
(ii) Sri Lanka Semata Setha Foundation (Incorporation)
(iii) Maheswary Foundation (Incorporation)


The Parliament was, thereafter adjourned at 1821 Hrs. until 1300 Hrs. on Tuesday 4th January 2011.
