Consultative Committees

House agreed to a Motion moved by the Hon. Leader of the House of Parliament,

That Ten (10) Consultative Committees be appointed to be designated -

1. Consultative Committee on Private Transport
2. Consultative Committee on Minor Export Crop Promotion
3. Consultative Committee on Foreign Employment Promotion and Welfare
4. Consultative Committee on Coconut Development and Janatha Estate Development
5. Consultative Committee on Culture and Arts
6. Consultative Committee on Agrarian Services and Wildlife
7. Consultative Committee on Public Relation and Public Affairs
8. Consultative Committee on Telecommunication and Information Technology
9. Consultative Committee on Productivity Promotion
10. Consultative Committee on Civil Aviation

That each Committee do consist of not less than five (5) Members and not more than Twenty Five (25) Members to consider and report upon such matters as are referred to it in terms of Standing Order 109;

That three (3) Members be the quorum of each Committee.

Today is the Seventh Allotted Day of the Appropriation Bill (2011) - "Committee Stage Debate".


Motion at the Adjournment Time

Motion at the Adjournment Time on "Cadet Corps for School" was moved by the Hon. Shantha Bandara.


The Parliament was, thereafter adjourned at 1929 Hrs. until 0930 Hrs. on Wednesday 1st December 2010.
