Main Business of the House for Today
The following Bills (appearing as Item Nos. 1 to 4 of today’s Order Paper) were passed by the House with amendments:-
(i) Secretary to the Treasury (Nomination of Representative)
(ii) Gaming (Special Provisions)
A Division by name was taken (in favour: 114, against: 33) in the Second Reading
(iii) Default Taxes (Special Provisions)
(iv) Public Enterprises Reform Commission of Sri Lanka (Repeal)
Motion at the Adjournment Time
Motion at the Adjournment time on “Defamatory statement against Sri Lankan Cricketers” was moved by the Hon. Ravi Karunanayake.
The Parliament was, thereafter adjourned at 1930 Hrs. until 1300 Hrs. on Thursday 11th November 2010.
