Appropriation (2011)
The Hon. Prime Minister and Minister of Buddha Sasana and Religious Affairs moved a Bill to provide for the service of the financial year 2011; to authorise the raising of loans in or outside Sri Lanka, for the purpose of such service; to make financial provision in respect of certain activities of the Government during that financial year; to enable the payment by way of advances out of the Consolidated Fund or any other fund or moneys, of or at the disposal of the Government, of moneys required during that financial year for expenditure on such activities; to provide for the refund of such moneys to the Consolidated Fund and to make provision for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.
The Hon. (Ven.) Athuraliye Rathana Thero was granted leave to introduce the Bill, entitled
"Animal Welfare"
The Hon. Janaka Bandara was granted leave to introduce the Bill, entitled
"Sri Dhammalankara Social Services Foundation (Incorporation)".

Resolution under the Public Security Ordinance
Resolution moved by the Hon. Prime Minister, Minister of Buddhasasana & Religious Affairs that the Proclamation made by the President under Section 2 of the Public Security Ordinance (Chapter 40), as amended by Act, No. 8 of 1959, Law No. 6 of 1978, and Act, No. 28 of 1988, bringing into operation the provisions of Part II of the aforesaid Ordinance throughout Sri Lanka with effect from 15th October 2010, was approved.
Accordingly, the Emergency Motion was approved by Parliament with a majority of 99 votes, extending it for another month. 118 votes were cast in favour of the motion while 19 votes were against it.
Civil Aviation Bill was passed by the House with Amendments after having taken a division (100 in favour; 05 against), for the Third Reading.
