Votes of Condolence on the following ex-Members of Parliament were taken up and completed:-

(i) The late Hon. (Dr.) Kamal Karunanayake
(ii) The late Hon. Yasendra Bakmeewewa
(iii) The late Hon. Cholomondeley Goonewardene


The Privilege motion that the question of privilege arising out of the matter raised by Hon. John Amaratunga, M.P. in Parliament on 6th July 2010, moved by the Hon. John Amaratunga, M.P. was referred to the Committee on Privileges under Standing Order 127.


The Hon. Silvastrie Alantin was granted leave to introduce the Bill, entitled "Maheswary Foundation (Incorporation)".


The Parliament was, thereafter adjourned at 1700 Hrs. until 1300 Hrs. on Tuesday 7th September 2010.
