Presentation of Bills

National Institute of Labour Studies

The Hon. Leader of the House of Parliament on behalf of the Hon. Minister of Labour Relations and Productivity Improvement moved the Bill to establish a National Institute of Labour Studies, to establish a Board of Governors for the administration of the Institute; to establish Technical Committees and a School for Trade Unions; to conduct research, carry out surveys and provide training for the promotion of labour studies in Sri Lanka; and to provide for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.


Motion at the Adjournment Time

Motion at the Adjournment time on “Job security of Sub Post Masters” was moved by the Hon. Buddhika Pathirana.


The Parliament was, thereafter adjourned at 1646 Hrs. until 1300 Hrs. on Friday 20th August 2010.
