The Hon. President Ranil Wickremesinghe in his capacity as the Minister of Finance, Economic Stabilization and National Policies delivered the ‘Budget Speech (2024)’ at 12.00 p.m.


Announcement by the Speaker

That all amendments to be moved during the Committee Stage in respect of the Appropriation Bill 2024 should be handed over to the Secretary-General of Parliament on or before 3.00 p.m. on Friday, 17th November, 2023.


Thereafter, the Second Reading Debate on the Appropriation Bill (2024) was adjourned at 1357 Hrs. until 0930 Hrs. on Tuesday 14th November 2023.
