Presentation of Bills
The Hon. Minister of Justice, Prisons Affairs and Constitutional Reforms moved the following Bills entitled-
(i) National Hydrographic - to make provisions for giving effect to certain Specific Obligations of Sri Lanka under the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea 1974; for the establishment of the National Hydrographic Office; for the registration of Hydrographic Surveyors and Nautical Cartograpers; and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.
(ii) Anti-Corruption (Amendment) - to amend the Anti-Corruption Act, No. 9 of 2023.
Main Business of the House for Today

(ii) Notification under the Measurement Units, Standard and Services Act
(iii) Resolution under the Essential Public Services Act
Adjournment Motion
Adjournment Motion on “Urging the United Nations to call on all parties to declare an immediate cease-fire and to intervene immediately for a peaceful solution as the war between Israel and Palestine escalates in violation of international humanitarian law” was proposed by the Hon. Udaya Gammanpila.
The Parliament was, thereafter adjourned at 1650 Hrs. until 0930 Hrs. on Tuesday 7th November 2023.
