The Hon. Minister of Justice, Prisons Affairs and Constitutional Reforms moved the following Bills entitled-
(i)    Notaries (Amendment) - to amend the Notaries Ordinance (Chapter 107).
(ii)    Powers of Attorney (Amendment) - to amend the Powers of Attorney Ordinance (Chapter 122).
(iii)    Children and Young Persons (Amendment) - to amend the Children and Young Persons Ordinance (Chapter 23).
(iv)    Registration of Documents (Amendment) - to amend the Registration of Documents Ordinance (Chapter 117).
(v)    Dangerous Animals (Amendment) - to amend the Dangerous Animals Ordinance (Chapter 49).
(vi)    Wills (Amendment) - to amend the Wills Ordinance (Chapter 60).
(vii)    Prevention of Frauds (Amendment) - to amend the Prevention of Frauds Ordinance (Chapter 70).


House agreed to the following Motions moved by the Hon. Leader of the House of Parliament

(i) Committee on Parliamentary Business

That notwithstanding the provisions of Standing Order 115 of the Parliament and the resolution adopted by Parliament on 10th August 2022, the Committee on Parliamentary Business shall consists of the Speaker as the Chair, the Deputy Speaker, the Deputy Chairperson of Committees, the Leader of the House of Parliament, the Leader of the Opposition in Parliament, the Chief Government Whip, the Chief Opposition Whip and  twenty six (26) other Members to be nominated by the Committee of Selection to serve in the Third Session of the Ninth Parliament, as per the decision taken on 12th August 2022 by the Committee of Selection

(ii) Committee on Public Accounts

That notwithstanding the provisions of Standing Order 119 of the Parliament and the resolution adopted by Parliament on 10th August 2022, the Committee on Public Accounts shall consists of twenty seven (27) Members to be nominated by the Committee of Selection to serve in the Third Session of the Ninth Parliament, as per the decision taken on 12thAugust 2022 by the Committee of Selection

(iii) Committee on Public Enterprises

That notwithstanding the provisions of Standing Order 120 of the Parliament and the resolution adopted by Parliament on 10th August 2022, the Committee on Public Enterprises shall consists of twenty seven (27) Members to be nominated by the Committee of Selection to serve in the Third Session of the Ninth Parliament, as per the decision taken on 12th August 2022 by the Committee of Selection

(iv) Committee on Public Finance

That notwithstanding the provisions of Standing Order 121 of the Parliament and the resolution adopted by Parliament on 10thAugust 2022, the Committee on Public Finance shall consists of twenty six (26) Members to be nominated by the Committee of Selection to serve in the Third Session of the Ninth Parliament, as per the decision taken on 12th August 2022 by the Committee of Selection

was passed by the House.


Adjournment Motion

Adjournment Motion on “The difficulties faced by the general public due to increase in the Electricity Tariffs by a large proportion” was proposed by the Hon. Mujibur Rahuman.


The Parliament was, thereafter adjourned at 1620 Hrs. until 1300 Hrs. on Tuesday 30th August 2022.
