Honourable President Ranil Wickremesinghe presided over the Ceremonial Sitting of Parliament for opening of the Third Session of the Ninth Parliament.

The Secretary-General of Parliament read out the Proclamation issued by Honourable President proroguing Parliament and Summoning the Meeting.

Honourable President addressed the Parliament.

The Parliament was, thereafter adjourned at 1114 Hrs. until 1300 Hrs. on Tuesday 9th August 2022.
