House agreed to the following Motion moved by the Hon. Dinesh Gunawardena, the Leader of the House of Parliament -

Ministerial Consultative Committees

That notwithstanding the Resolution adopted by Parliament on 21st January 2022, Ministerial Consultative Committees designated as Ministerial Consultative Committee on Power and Ministerial Consultative Committee on Energy shall be re-designated as the “Ministerial Consultative Committee on Power and Energy” as per the decision taken by the Committee of Selection on 17th May 2022.


Adjournment Motion

Adjourned debate on “Damages caused to public and private properties due to recent riots” was continued and adjourned for tomorrow.


The Parliament was, thereafter adjourned at 1730 Hrs. until 1000 Hrs. on Thursday 19th May 2022.
