Presentation of Papers

(i)    Performance Report of the Administrative Appeals Tribunal for the year 2020
(ii)    Annual Reports of the National Institute of Business Management for the years 2015, 2016 and 2017
(iii)    Performance Report of the State Ministry of Indigenous Medicine Promotion, Rural  and Ayurvedic Hospitals Development & Community Health for the year 2020
(iv)    Annual Report and Statement of Accounts of the Sri Lanka Press Council for the year 2018
(v)    Annual Report of the Lanka Leyland (Private) Limited for the year 2017/2018
(vi)    Annual Reports & Accounts of the Mantai Salt Limited for the years 2017/2018 and 2018/2019

(vii) Report on the submission of observations and steps taken in terms of the Standing Order 119(4) of the Parliament with regard to the matters mentioned on the Ministry of Wildlife & Forest Conservation in the report of the Committee on Public Accounts which was presented to Parliament
(viii)    Report on the submission of observations and steps taken in terms of the Standing Order 119(4) of the Parliament with regard to the matters mentioned on the Ministry of Justice in the report of the Committee on Public Accounts which was presented to Parliament.
(ix)    Reparations Policies & Guidelines formulated by the Office for Reparations in compliance with Section 2(a) read with Section 11(1)(g) of the Office for Reparations Act, No. 34 of 2018 and approved by the Cabinet of Ministers


Presentation of Reports from the Committees

The Report from the Committee on Public Finance was presented by the Hon. Anura Priyadarshana Yapa, the Chair of the Committee.


Ministerial Statements

(i) Hon. Douglas Devananda, Minister of Fisheries made a Ministerial Statement regarding poaching in Sri Lankan waters by Indian fishermen.

(ii)    Hon. (Dr.) Bandula Gunawardana, Minister of Trade made a Ministerial Statement regarding international index recognition received by Ceylon cinnamon.


Main Business of the House for Today

The following Items (appearing as Item Nos. 1 to 5 of today’s Order Paper) were debated and adjourned for tomorrow:-
(i)    Code of Criminal Procedure (Amendment) Bill - Second Reading
(ii)    Prohibition of Anti-Personnel Mines Bill - Second Reading
(iii)    Judicature (Amendment) Bill - Second Reading
(iv)    Civil Procedure Code (Amendment) Bill - Second Reading
(v)    Provincial Councils (Transfer of Stamp Duty) (Amendment) Bill - Second Reading


Questions at the Adjournment Time

Two Questions were asked by following Members of Parliament:-
(i)    The Hon. Hector Appuhamy
(ii)    The Hon. Mohomad Muzammil
