Main Business of the House for Today

The following Items (appearing as Item Nos. 1 to 4 of today’s Order Paper) were approved by the House.:-

(i) Minimum Retirement Age of Workers Bill - with amendments
(ii)  Termination of Employment of Workmen (Special Provisions) (Amendment) Bill
(iii)  Order under the Employment of Women, Young Persons and Children Act
(iv)  Regulations under the Land Acquisition Act


Questions at the Adjournment Time

Two Questions were asked by following Members of Parliament:-

Motion at the Adjournment Time

Motion at the Adjournment Time on “Investigation of complaints by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption” was proposed by the Hon. Premitha Bandara Tennakoon.


The Parliament was, thereafter adjourned at 1730 Hrs. until 1400 Hrs. on Friday 12th November 2021.
