A : Endorsement of the certificate on a Bill under Article 79 of the Constitution
B : Additional Members to serve in the Select Committee of Parliament to identify appropriate reforms of the election laws and the electoral system and to recommend necessary amendments

Main Business of the House for Today

The following Items (appearing as Item Nos. 1 and 2 of today’s Order Paper) were approved by the House:-

(i) Consumer Affairs Authority (Amendment) Bill
(ii) Regulations under the Fauna and Flora Protection Ordinance

Motion at the Adjournment Time

Motion at the Adjournment Time on “UNHRC High Commissioner’s statement regarding Sri Lanka” was proposed by the Hon. Manusha Nanayakkara.


The Parliament was, thereafter adjourned at 1739 Hrs. until 1000 Hrs. on Monday 4th October 2021.
