Hon. Imran Maharoof,—To ask the Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports,— (1)

(a) Will he inform this House —

(i) of the number of national-level stadiums available in the Northern and the Eastern provinces;

(ii) of the location of each such stadium, separately;

(iii) whether he is aware that arrangements had been made to develop the Mc Heyzer stadium in the Trincomalee district as a national-level stadium but the excavation activities pertaining to that were suspended owing to the discovery of human bone fragments during the excavations; 

(iv) whether steps have been taken to resume the said excavation activities that were suspended; and

(v) whether steps will be taken to develop the Mc Heyzer stadium into an international-level cricket stadium?  

(b) If not, why?
