Hon. Imran Maharoof,—To ask the Minister of Health and Mass Media,— (1)

(a) Will he inform this House of the —

(i) number of persons who obtained treatment for dog bites during the period from 01.01.2024 to 31.12.2024;

(ii) number of persons in the Trincomalee District who were bitten by dogs during the aforesaid period;

(iii) number of persons who were bitten by stray dogs during the aforesaid period in each of the MOH Divisions in the Trincomalee District, separately;

(iv) name of the district in which the highest number of persons who were bitten by dogs during the aforesaid period reside;

(v) amount spent annually on treating persons who are bitten by dogs; and

(vi) measures that will be taken by the government to solve the problem of dog bites?

(b) If not, why?
