Hon. Ravi Karunanayake,— To ask the Minister of Trade, Commerce, Food Security and Cooperative Development,— (1)

(a) Will he inform this House —

(i) of the name of the  present Registrar of Companies;

(ii) of the names of individuals who have held the post of Registrar of Companies from 2015 to 2024;

(iii) of the total number of companies incorporated by the Department of Registrar of Companies to date;

(iv) of the number of companies incorporated in each of the following years, 2010, 2015, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025 up to date, separately;

(v) of the average time taken to incorporate a company;

(vi) of the total revenue earned by the department from incorporation of companies as per (iii) above;

(vii) of the number of active companies currently operating as per (iii) above; and

(viii) whether the Department of Registrar of Companies has been fully automated?

(b) If not, why?
