Sub Committee on Identifying the Priorities in Formulation of Short, Medium & Long Term National Policies of the National Council

It was proposed at the first meeting of the National Council held on 29th of October 2022, to appoint two Sub Committees for two areas out of the three for which the National Council has the jurisdiction and general responsibilities by the “Resolution to constitute the National Council” moved by the Hon. Dinesh Gunawardena, Prime Minister and approved by the Parliament on 20th of September 2002. Accordingly, at its first meeting held on 29th of October 2022, a Sub Committee on identifying the priorities in formulation of short, medium & long term national policies was appointed. The Members of the Sub-Committee were announced as per the preferences indicated by them at the Second meeting of the National Council held on 6th October 2022. At the first meeting of the Sub-Committee held on 07th October 2022, the Hon. Namal Rajapaksa, AAL was elected as the Chair of the Sub Committee proposed by the Hon. Sagara Kariyawasam, AAL and seconded by the Hon. Ali Sabri Raheem.
