Presentation of Reports from the Committees

(i)    The Report of the Ministerial Consultative Committee on Irrigation was presented by the Hon. Jagath Samarawickrama, member of the Committee on behalf of the Chair of the Committee Hon. Roshan Ranasinghe.
(ii)    The Report of the Ministerial Consultative Committee on Sports and Youth Affairs was presented by the Hon. Rohana Dissanayaka, member of the Committee on behalf of the Chair of the Committee Hon. Roshan Ranasinghe.

House agreed to the following Motions moved by the Hon. Leader of the House of Parliament

(i) Committee on Public Accounts

That notwithstanding the provisions of Standing Order 119 of the Parliament and the resolution adopted by Parliament on 18th October 2022, the Committee on Public Accounts shall consists of thirty one (31) Members to be nominated by the Committee of Selection to serve in the Third Session of the Ninth Parliament, as per the decision taken on 25th November 2022, by the Committee of Selection

(ii) Committee on Public Enterprises

That notwithstanding the provisions of Standing Order 120 of the Parliament and the resolution adopted by Parliament on 18th October 2022, the Committee on Public Enterprises shall consists of thirty one (31) Members to be nominated by the Committee of Selection to serve in the Third Session of the Ninth Parliament, as per the decision taken on 25th November 2022, by the Committee of Selection

(iii) Committee on Banking and Financial Services

That in terms of the provisions of amended Standing Order 122 of the Parliament passed by Parliament on 23rd November 2022, the Committee on Banking and Financial Services shall consists of sixteen (16) Members to be nominated by the Committee of Selection to serve during the Third Session of the Ninth Parliament

(iv) Committee on Economic Stabilization

That in terms of the provisions of amended Standing Order 123 of the Parliament passed by Parliament on 23rd November 2022, the Committee on Economic Stabilization shall consists of sixteen (16) Members to be nominated by the Committee of Selection to serve during the Third Session of the Ninth Parliament

(v) Committee on Ways and Means

That in terms of the provisions of amended Standing Order 124 of the Parliament passed by Parliament on 23rd November 2022, the Committee on Committee on Ways and Means shall consists of sixteen (16) Members to be nominated by the Committee of Selection to serve during the Third Session of the Ninth Parliament
