Presentation of Bills
The Hon. Gayantha Karunatileka, the Chief Government Whip presented the following Bills entitled-
(i) National Audit - to provide for the powers, duties and functions of the Audit Service Commission; the establishment of the office of the National Audit Office and the Sri Lanka State Audit Service; to specify the role of the Auditor General over public finance and to make provision for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto
(ii) Civil Aviation (Amendment) - to amend the Civil Aviation Act, No. 14 of 2010
(iii) Prescription (Special Provisions) (Amendment) - to amend the Prescription (Special Provisions) Act, No. 5 of 2016
Private Members’ Bills
The Hon. Namal Rajapaksa was granted leave to introduce the following Bill, entitled
“Chaya Foundation (Incorporation)”
The above Bill was referred to the Minister of Social Empowerment, Welfare and Kandyan Heritage for report to Parliament under Standing Order 47 (5) of the Parliament.
Main Business of the House for Today
