Relief for the difficulties faced by the people living in villages in Vauniya North in Northern Province, in Districts of Mannar, Mullaitivu, Killinochchi due to the damages cause by wild elephants and the difficulties faced by the people living in several areas including Chavakachcheri due to the destructions cause by monkeys.

Public Business of the House
Bill entitled “Provincial Councils Elections (Amendment) Bill” appearing as item No. *1 of today’s Order Paper was duly passed with amendments by two thirds special majority of votes (including those not present) in the Parliament.
The Parliament was, adjourned at 2054 Hrs. until 1030 Hrs. on Thursday, the 21st of September, 2017.
