Presentation of Bills

The Hon. Gayantha Karunatileka, Minister of Parliamentary Reforms and Mass Media and Chief Government Whip moved the Bill entitled

“Civil Procedure Code (Amendment)”

to amend the Civil Procedure Code (Chapter 101).

Private Members’ Bills

The Hon. Edward Gunasekara was granted leave to introduce the following Bill, entitled

“Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers of Sri Lanka (Incorporation)”

The above Bill was referred to the Minister of Ports and Shipping for report to Parliament under Standing Order 47(5) of the Parliament.

The Parliament was, thereafter adjourned at 1150 Hrs. until 1300 Hrs. on Tuesday 21st March 2017.
