Presentation of Reports from the Committees

(i)    The Report of the Committee on Standing Orders regarding the Standing Orders of Parliament together with the proceedings of the said Committee was presented by the Chairman of the Committee, the Hon. Karu Jayasuriya.

(ii)    The Report of the Sectoral Oversight Committee on Internal Administration and Public Management was presented by the Hon. Nihal Galappaththi, member of the Committee on behalf of the Chairman of the Committee, the Hon. Gamini Lokuge.

(iii)    The Report of the Sectoral Oversight Committee on Legal Affairs (anti-corruption) and Media was presented by the Chairman of the Committee, the Hon. Ajith Mannapperuma.

Motion at the Adjournment Time

Motion at the Adjournment Time on “Teaching appointments for Arts (special) Graduates” was proposed by the Hon. (Dr.) Nalinda Jayathissa.


The Parliament was, thereafter adjourned at 1856 Hrs. until 1500 Hrs. on Thursday 9th November 2017.
